Greetings Softball families and friends!

Our Thunder Fastpitch Board has been hard at work in the off season preparing opportunities for your child this summer!

We have made some changes, added new board members and revisited our goals which we would like to share with you!

Our short term goals include:

1. Prioritizing Transparency: The board's goal is to serve all members with as fair and equitable policies and procedures as possible given the challenges of managing the diverse abilities of the players. Decisions made by the board will be communicated as needed in an effort to be more transparent. We have received feedback from you and we hear you!

2. Clear Communication Channels: Our board is working hard to develop a better means of relaying information to our families, friends and the community. PLEASE expect all communications to be posted on our website, email and sports engine. Please use whatever is easiest for you. Messages will be disbursed simultaneously and routinely on all of these platforms.

3. Expanding Play Opportunities:To better serve our community we are providing multiple levels of play to accommodate varying skill levels.

  • In house league for all players to enjoy. All abilities welcome! 6u, 8u, 10u, 12u

  • Travel team: these teams will compete in the region and regional tournaments. An assessment process will be implemented to determine team roster. 10u, 12u, 14u

  • Select team: this team will be by invite only of area players and requires the highest level of play and advanced skills required. This team will enter tournament play only. 12u, 14u, 16/18u

4. Supporting 16/18 U players: After asking players, families and former players what they think, we have a better idea of what is needed for them to best succeed in softball here and beyond. Our intention is to support their development and growth by building a solid, competitive program to encourage them to play locally.
